The boat is preped, packed and ready to set off on our biggest adventure yet. One last visit with family in Truro on Saturday, before departing BHYC on Sunday morning.
We had a wonderful evening with the founding members of the "Brule Point Center for Public Policy" during our customary Happy Hour. We are certainly fortunate to be summer neighbours with such a great group of people. Cheers Allan, Jennifer and Costas.
We also are part of a wonderful boating community, through our affiliation with the Sunrise Shore Marina and the good folks at the Barrachois Harbour Yacht Club. What a supportive group of people!
In true BHYC style, the Club hosted a "Send Off" Social for us at a home of one of the Club members last evening. It was so nice to be surrounded by such a encouraging and supportive group of boaters. Thank you all for the best wishes and your interest. Enjoy the rest of your sailing season and stay safe. Also, a special thanks to Doug and Suzanne (who we shared many boating adventures with over the years) for hosting the event.
It is safe to say that in anticipation of the journey ahead, we have a few butterflies. However, we are both anxious to cast off the lines and set sail after years of planning and preparation.
So, our "self inflicted adventure" finally begins tomorrow.
See you on the water!
